Safety and player protection play a key role in the world of offline and online gambling.
In Belgium, the Gaming Commission (GC) has initiated the Excluded Persons Information System (EPIS) since 2004.
EPIS is an electronic system that lists all excluded players and is a very important tool in the protection of players against gambling addiction. When entering a physical or virtual casino, the player's surname, first name and date of birth are compulsorily recorded in EPIS, in order to check whether the player can be allowed to play.
Players can voluntarily register themselves in EPIS as means of Self-Exclusion.
Requests for exclusion can also be submitted by third parties. For instance, a family member may initiate the process for you, or an exclusion may be mandated by a court decision.
Self-Exclusion via EPIS is available via My Account → Profile → Player Protection. This feature enables you to take a break from all betting activities and from all Belgian gambling operators for a specified period.
